OPAL 6PLY PIXIE HAT
Materials: Pair 3.25 & 4mm needles, part ball of Opal 6ply Cast on 85 sts and work in st stitch for 11cm. Wrong side facing knit 1 *k21 k2tog, repeat from * to end. Next row k1 * k20 k2tog, repeat from *to end. Next row k1 *k19 k2tog, repeat from * to end…..keep decreasing the number of sts between the k2togs until you have 8-10 sts, knit 8 rows, cast off. With rs facing and 3.25mm needles pick up 67 sts evenly along lower edge of hat. Knit 3 rows. Next row: Cast off 1 st, *slip stitch on right hand needle back onto left hand needle, cast on 2 sts, cast off 4 stitches, rep from * to end. Fasten off and join side seams. There you have a pixie hat for a little angel. This hat can be knitted from the remains of the ball of 6ply used to knit the Irresistible Bolero. Contact Details: The Bead and Opal Wool Queen |
