COSY 4ply FINGERLESS GLOVES

Materials: 1 x ball Flying Saucer.
This is Flying Saucer - 2112
A set of 4 x 2.75mm double pointed needles
2 x stitch markers
Size: Fits medium size woman - both left and right hands are knitted the same.
Cast on 60 stitches. Divide onto double pointed needles and join the round - careful not to twist. The start of the round is indicated by the tail left from casting on.
Work 2.5cm in k2 p2 rib.
Knit every round for 13cm, or until desired length.
Begin thumb gusset.
1. Kl place marker, kl, inc l, place marker, (inc by bringing up Stitch from previous row). Now 4 stitches between
Markers.
2. Knit
3. Kl, slip marker, kl, inc l, knit until marker (you will have 6 sts between markers & 58 outside markers.
4. Knit
5. Repeat rows 3 & 4 until you have 20 stitches between the Markers. Place the 20 stitches on waste yarn.
Knit the remaining 58 stitches in the round for 2.5cm.
Change to k2 p2 rib. (dec 2 stitches by k2tog twice during the first row of rib (56 stitches). Rib 2.5cm, then cast off loosely in rib.
Finishing the thumb:
Transfer the 20 stitches onto 3 dpn s. Knit 5 rounds and cast off loosely in purl.
Sew together the gap between thumb and the rest of the mitt. (not too tight).
Weave in ends.
Knit another one the same!!
