BABY BLANKET 77 cm sq

Materials: 2 x 150g balls Opal 6ply (if you want identical squares you will need another ball)
4 mm needles


Work: Cast on 53 sts.
Knit 5 rows in garter st.
Wrong side facing knit 4, purl to last 4st, knit 4.
Next and each alt row:   knit
Repeat these 2 rows 29 times.
Knit 5 rows in garter st.  Cast off.

Knit 5 more squares.  Stitch together into a large square.

Pick up 53 stitches along each square.  Total of 159sts.

Knit 1 row.

Knit 1 increase one, knit to last 2 stitches.  Increase 1, knit one.  Repeat these two rows  6 times (more if you have plenty of wool).  Cast off.

Repeat on other three sides.  Join the corners and tidy up any ends.

Now you have an all purpose blanket to keep baby happy and warm.
